Disclaimer Page

1) This is a hobby project for me. As such, I’m not looking to monetize this. What does this mean?

a) I’m not an Amazon affiliate. There is no sponsored content. If some poor, misguided brand decides it wants to send me something to sample and test, I will accept, but the fact that it was provided for me will not impact my opinion. 

b) This is my site. I’m not looking to monetize it, so I’m not going to censor myself in language or thoughts. I’m rough and unvarnished, and my language might be considered PG-13 by a cooperative rating board. 

c) I’ve promised myself to cook at least three times per week, and I’m using this as my accountability partner. However, I’ve not been terribly good at blogging my attempts to cook. Updates will very likely be irregular. 

 

 

2) If there’s anything new under the sun when it comes to cooking, I’m not doing it. At best I’m taking ideas from other cooks and bloggers and making them my own. 

a) I try to link back to any recipes I use as inspiration, but there’s no guarantee that I’ll remember exactly which sites and authors I use. I’m human. If there’s something egregious I’ve missed, please reach out to me and I’ll see about correcting the record.

b) When my cooking efforts are not worthy of posting my recipe, I will dig into my archive of cookbooks and post something that catches my eye. I’m picking from recipe collections I’ve acquired over the years. When I do post a recipe, I post a photo of the cookbook cover along with as much information as I can discern on the cookbook and the recipe author. I’m working from the presumption that the authors of these recipes would be happy to see them preserved in another medium for a while. If I’m incorrect in my presumptions, I apologize in advance.
